Laboratory and office space
At the Muthgasse 11 site, BOKU:BASE offers space for spin-offs and start-ups.
Laboratory and office spaces are available on approx. 900 m². Scientists, researchers and employees who are in the process of founding a company or have already founded one can develop and implement their ideas here. Students also have the opportunity to use the infrastructure to test or further develop their ideas. The co-working labs and spaces are open to all BOKU subject areas.
BOKU:BASE Labs
All labs are fully furnished (lab benches, tables, sinks, emergency showers, cupboards, etc.).
There is also shared infrastructure and services on a fair-use basis, such as: Centrifuges, Microbial Incubators & Shakers, Autoclaves, Dishwasher, Drying Oven, Ice Maker, -80°C, -20°C, 4°C storage facilities.
Additional infrastructure is available in the BOKU Core Facilities, which can be used at fair prices.
Consumables and other laboratory equipment must be provided by the tenants.
A total of up to 4 laboratory spaces can be rented.
BOKU:BASE Office
In addition to the laboratory benches, we offer fully furnished office workstations with the following equipment:
• Desk
• Desk chairs
• shelves
• lockable mobile container
Only one office space can be used per rented lab bench.
Also included in the shared infrastructure are internet access (LAN), meeting rooms and a kitchenette.

The application does not entitle you to a place. The allocation of places is based on actual availability and at the discretion of BOKU:BASE. In case of rejection, there are no claims against BOKU and BOKU:BASE Labs & Infrastructure.
